Promotion and announcement of the
Erasmus+ Project “CONNECT 60+:
Bridging Cultures and Generations
through Digital Discovery” held in
Majdanpek, Serbia

Erasmus+ project “CONNECT 60+” was presented in Majdanpek, promoting digital inclusion and lifelong learning for seniors in Serbia. In March 2026, a promotional event and official announcement of the Erasmus+ project “CONNECT 60+: Bridging Cultures and Generations through Digital Discovery (No. 2025-1-RO01-KA210-ADU-000359240)” was successfully held in Serbia, at the Business Incubator Majdanpek.

This event marked an important step in introducing the project’s goals and activities to the local community and stakeholders, with a particular focus on promoting digital inclusion, lifelong learning, and intercultural dialogue among adults aged 60+. The CONNECT 60+ project is an Erasmus+ initiative aimed at bridging generational and cultural gaps through digital education and innovative learning approaches. By supporting the development of basic digital skills and encouraging the use of open educational resources, the project seeks to improve the quality of life of seniors and foster their active participation in modern society. During the promotion event, participants were introduced to the key objectives of the project, including:

  • enhancing digital competences among older adults

  • reducing digital exclusion and social isolation

  • encouraging intergenerational cooperation

  • creating opportunities for continuous personal development

The event also served as a platform for discussion, exchange of ideas, and strengthening collaboration between local institutions and project partners. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Business Incubator Majdanpek for their support and for providing the opportunity to organize and host this promotional event.

Through activities like this, the CONNECT 60+ project continues to build strong connections between communities, generations, and cultures, contributing to a more inclusive and digitally empowered society.

ADULT LEARNERS FROM FIVE COUNTRIES BRIEFED ABOUT THE ERASMUS+ KA210-ADU PROJECT “CONNECT 60+: Bridging Cultures and Generations through Digital Discovery”

On April 28, 2026, “Values, Virtues, Integrity” Foundation (VVIF) organized a dissemination activity whose goal was to popularize the KA210-ADU project “CONNECT 60+: Bridging Cultures and Generations through Digital Discovery”. The event took place in the Events Hal of the Foundation located in the biggest peripheral housing complex of the capital of Bulgaria "Lyulin”. Twenty-five participants from five countries (Bulgaria, Italy, France, Turkey and Azerbaijan) took an active part in the information session and asked numerous questions about the project and its goals and activities. The staff and facilitators of VVIF were happy to respond and to share additional light on the practices that the project is designed to promote. VVI Foundation planned the event to coincide with the job-shadowing visits to Sofia of groups of adult learners from Italy and Turkey. These groups, sent by the organizations Euroinnova APS Kocaeli Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü under their ongoing KA1-ADU projects, included mostly old age pensioners – i.e. representatives of one of the main target groups of the “CONNECT 60+” Project. Also, the topics of the visits were closely connected to digital skills, so it was very appropriate for these learners, coming from various educational and institutional backgrounds, to learn about the digital discoveries of this KA2-ADU project.

To the visiting adult learners, VVIF added representatives of adult learners from other Bulgarian and foreign organizations, residing in Sofia - and this is how this international project dissemination evet was organized. It was like a bridge between what VVIF has already done in the field of creating of opportunities for elderly people and the future events and activities that are plan under the “CONNECT 60+” Project, which is still in its initial phase.

The event also served as a good example/practice of how to creatively utilize KA1 and KA2 opportunities in the Adult Education Sector of the Erasmus+ Program. It had yet another added benefit: spreading current information and future project results to countries, beyond the scope of the partnership of the “CONNECT 60+” Project (involving Romania, Serbia and Bulgaria), thus enhancing the larger European dimension and relevance of the project intervention.
